Dell Technologies Inc., led by CEO Michael Dell, has announced a partnership with NVIDIA Corporation to construct an AI Factory designed to boost the capabilities of Grok, an AI model developed by Elon Musk's company, xAI.
Another partner, Super Micro Computer, renowned for its strong relationships with chip companies like Nvidia, will play a crucial role in this collaboration with xAI as well.
In addition to its strategic partnerships, Dell is actively involved in assembling the racks that will form an integral part of xAI's supercomputer.
xAI's Supercomputer Building Plans
Elon Musk's xAI plans to construct a supercomputer, often referred to as the "Gigafactory of Compute," to power the next version of its AI chatbot, Grok.
The supercomputer is expected to use approximately 100,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs based on the Hopper architecture. Musk's goal with this move is to surpass competing GPU clusters in size and capabilities, delivering unprecedented computing power.
